The ASP1 can be programmed in different ways, Benieth is a Picture with a guide on how to do this.

The switches can act like ON-OFF Switches, which gives the same input when you turn it ON, as when you turn it OFF, which works for games that support key presses.
But they can also act as ON-ON switches, which means they dont give the same input when turned OFF, as they do when they are turned ON. This can be helpfull in Fx. DCS where the A-10C have some 3-way switches on the Armament Panel, where you need to program each switch position to a key press.

This program function makes it possible to adapt the ASP1 for all games, and you can save your 4 favorite settings, and still have the standart ON-OFF also, so you end up with 5 programs.

When you program the ASP1, you can choose which switches are to do what, so if you only want to change 2 switches on the ASP1, to be ON-ON and the rest to be ON-OFF, then its pretty simple.

Here is how to Program it:

Programming:
1. Set all switches in the OFF(down) position, the 3-way switches in the middle.
2. Then set the Program/Read Switch in the Program(up) Position.
3. Set one of the 4 Program switches that you want to program in the ON(up) Position.
4. Hold down the 2 Activate Switches at the same time for 5+ seconds
5. Now your ready to program your switches, all switches you want to act as ON-ON(different inputs in ON and OFF) you now put in the ON(up) Position, the 3-way switches either up or down. And all switches you want to act as ON-OFF(same input in ON and OFF) you leave in the OFF(down) position, the 3-way switches in the middle.
6. When all switches are set as you want, hold down the 2 Activates Switches at the same time again, in 5+ Seconds.
7. You have now programmed the unit, AND chosen the program number you just saved to.

Reading:
1. Set all switches in the OFF(down) position, the 3-way switches in the middle.
2. Then set the Program/Read Switch in the Read(down) Position.
3. Set one of the 4 Program switches that you want to read in the ON(up) Position.
4. Hold down the 2 Activate Switches at the same time for 5+ seconds
5. You have now loadet the unit with the program number you just chose.

If you want to use the standart ON-OFF(same input in ON and OFF) Code:
1. Set all switches in the OFF(down) position, the 3-way switches in the middle.
2. Then set the Program/Read Switch in the Read(down) Position.
3. Hold down the 2 Activate Switches at the same time for 5+ seconds
4. You have now loadet the unit with the standart ON-OFF program.
